Two Wounded in Early Morning Shooting in Paterson

An early morning shooting incident in Paterson resulted in injuries to two individuals on Friday. The incident occurred around 3:53 a.m. in the vicinity of 91 Carroll Street.AdAccording to initial reports, officers were dispatched following reports of gunfire in the area.

Upon arrival, they found one person suffering from bullet wounds. Police provided initial treatment to the victim until emergency medical services arrived.

Meanwhile, the crime scene was secured with police tape as the investigation commenced.

During the investigation, it was discovered that a second victim had independently sought treatment at St. Joseph's Hospital for gunshot wounds believed to have been sustained at the Carroll Street location.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been informed of the incident and is now leading the investigation.AdAs of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
