Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the suspect who stole a victim’s electric scooter on July 15.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said the theft occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 60 block of Ferry Street when the victim entered the store and left his scooter at the entrance.
Moments later, officials stated that the suspect was captured on surveillance video walking into the store and leaving with the scooter.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
