Newark Police are on the search for suspects linked to two commercial robberies that occurred Saturday morning.The first incident took place at the Sunoco Gas Station located on the 1400 block of McCarter Highway, where armed suspects brandished a weapon and demanded cash from employees around 5:30 a.m.
Following the robbery at the gas station, the suspects reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored Nissan Altima with temporary New Jersey plates.
A similar vehicle was described in connection with another robbery at a 7-Eleven on Bloomfield Avenue and Ampere Parkway in Newsrk, where suspects executed a similar heist.
While the total amount of cash taken during these incidents remains undisclosed, fortunately, no physical injuries were reported.
Bloomfield Police are also investigating a potential related robbery in their jurisdiction, suggesting a possible spree involving the same suspects.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Newark and Bloomfield police departments are collaborating to track down the suspects and prevent further incidents.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the robberies or the suspects to come forward to assist with the investigation.
