A devastating collision on the Garden State Parkway has resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals early Friday morning.The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 163.4 in Paramus.
Police were quick to respond to the scene, where they discovered a severe crash involving multiple victims.
One of the victims was found ejected from a vehicle while others were trapped inside. At least one individual was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries they sustained.
The incident also resulted in additional injuries, although the extent and number of these injuries have yet to be fully disclosed.
Following the collision, NJ State Police closed all southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway to conduct a thorough investigation and clear the wreckage.
The closure of the southbound lanes is expected to significantly impact the morning commute, causing heavy delays in the area.
