The Newark and the North Jersey region is waking up to another spectacular weather day, ideal for the 4th of July holiday rush.
With clear skies and low humidity continuing from the past two days, today promises to be just as enjoyable.
Early morning temperatures in Newark hit 71 degrees at 4:30 a.m., while Sparta, NJ, reported a slightly cooler 65 degrees.
The National Weather Service forecasts a mostly sunny day with a high near 84 degrees. A light southwest wind will pick up, becoming south at 8 to 13 mph in the morning.
As evening approaches, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of around 69 degrees.
