Police in Newark took a suspect into custody and charged him with a stabbing incident in the city’s West Ward Sunday.
At approximately 7 a.m. Newark Police responded to a report of a stabbing at the intersection of West Market Street and Central Avenue.
Officers arriving at the scene found a man who had been stabbed by another man following an altercation.
Director Frage said the victim was transported to University Hospital, where he is being treated for a non-life-threatening injury and is reportedly in stable condition.
Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
