Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Thursday, June 27, Thomas J. Fox, III, 60, from Absecon, was sentenced in Atlantic County Superior Court by the Honorable Dorothy Incarvito-Garrabrant, J.S.C., on two counts of fourth-degree Driving During License Suspension for Prior DUIs to concurrent 15-month New Jersey State Prison terms with a mandatory period of parole ineligibility of 180 days.AdFox was previously found guilty of both counts following a jury trial in April 2024, officials stated.

According to officials, on February 14, 2018, a Galloway Township Police Officer conducted a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle he observed engaging in a motor vehicle infraction in the area of Route 50.

The vehicle was driven by Fox, officials say, and during the stop, the defendant was unable to produce a valid driver’s license when requested.

A police lookup of the defendant’s information revealed that he had a suspended license for at least two prior DUIs, officials said. AdAuthorities say the defendant was subsequently charged by the Galloway Township Police Department and later indicted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The defendant was taken into custody and ordered detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending his sentencing date, officials stated.

Officials said Fox is scheduled to be sentenced on June 20, 2024, before Judge Incarvito-Garrabrant.
