Four men from Passaic County, New Jersey, have been charged for their roles in a street gang known as "100k" that distributed fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced on Thursday June 20, 2022.
The charged individuals are Jazmeir Reyes, aka "Baby Joe," 19; Kyzeik Robinson, aka "Doo Doo," 18; Michael Davis, aka "Baby Three," 27; and Jacim Pitts, 24.
All are residents of Paterson, New Jersey. They face charges of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.
Reyes faces additional charges of attempted Hobbs Act robbery, assaulting or impeding U.S. officers, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence related to holding a U.S. Postal Service employee at gunpoint.
Davis and Pitts have been detained after appearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge James B. Clark III in Newark federal court.
Reyes is set to make his initial appearance on June 21, 2024. Robinson remains at large.
According to court documents and statements, law enforcement has been investigating the "100k" gang since January 2022.
The gang operates primarily in the North Main and Jefferson streets area of Paterson's First Ward. Reyes, Robinson, and Davis are members of 100k, while Pitts is associated with "So Icey," a gang aligned with 100k.
From August 2023 to April 2024, undercover officers conducted controlled purchases of narcotics from Reyes and other gang members, seizing over 100 grams of fentanyl along with heroin and cocaine.
Reyes is accused of holding a mail carrier at gunpoint on July 28, 2023, in Paterson, in an attempt to steal an arrow key used to access mailboxes.
The conspiracy charge carries a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 40 years in prison, along with a fine of at least $5 million.
Reyes faces additional penalties, including up to 20 years in prison for attempted Hobbs Act robbery and assaulting U.S. officers, and a mandatory minimum of seven years to life imprisonment for brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
