Newark Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near the Riverside Court Housing Development in the city's North Ward.
Residents have raised concerns about the incident, which occurred around 1:50 a.m. on the single-digit block of Grafton Avenue.
Upon arrival, police officers discovered multiple shell casings at the scene.
A search of the area around Riverside Court was conducted, but no victims were found. The suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting has fled the scene and remains at large.
As of now, the motive behind the shooting has not been disclosed.
Newark Police continue their investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in resolving this case.
