Newark Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in a section of the city.
The incident was reported around 12:25 a.m. near 360 6th Avenue West.
Upon their arrival, officers found shell casings at the scene and immediately called in the Shooting Response Team.
A subsequent search of the neighborhood did not reveal any victims.
The suspect involved in the shooting has fled the scene and remains at large.
The incident is still under active investigation as authorities seek to determine the motive behind the shooting.
