Authorities in Newark are asking for the public’s help in identifying the female and male suspects in connection with a theft that occurred on Tuesday, June 4.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 11:20 p.m., a woman in the area of Mulberry Street and Edison Place was violently bumped by a woman who pick-pocketed her wallet from her purse.
Officials stated the female suspect was observed walking in the area with the male suspect before the incident occurred.
The victim’s wallet, pink with a gold zipper, contained $200.00 in cash, credit cards, and other personal belongings, officials said.
Authorities say the following day, the victim’s credit card was used at Walgreens in Piscataway.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the female suspect as 5’3” tall with long, dark brown hair. She was wearing khaki pants, according to officials.
