UPDATE 2:52 p.m. (This was a domestic incident and the situation is under control. Female has been located safely.)
The Clifton Police Detective Bureau is currently investigating a suspicious incident that took place yesterday morning around 11:15 a.m. near Hazel Street and Circle Avenue.
Clifton Police officials said initial reports suggested that the situation might have been a domestic dispute, prompting patrol units to conduct an extensive search of the area.
However, the vehicle involved could not be located.
As the investigation has progressed, authorities now believe that the female passenger in the vehicle may be in danger. The vehicle has been identified as a 2023-2024 black Nissan Altima.
