Newark and the North Jersey region residents are experiencing a warmup today, waking up to temperatures in the high 60s under clear skies.
However, this rise in temperature comes with a caution as storms are expected to arrive by Friday.
The National Weather Service forecasts that today will be mostly sunny with a high nearing 87 degrees.
A calm wind will shift to the south at 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of around 68 degrees and a southwest wind of around eight mph.
