As North Jersey residents enjoy a mild start at 67 degrees early this morning, the National Weather Service (NWS) advises preparing for a shift in the weather.VaccineThe region will see a cloudy day with a high near 81 degrees, though it will not be as pleasant as yesterday. Areas of fog will clear by 11 a.m., but residents should brace for rain by the evening.

According to the NWS forecasters, the light south wind will pick up, increasing from 5 to 9 mph as the day progresses.

The weather will take a more significant turn tonight, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms escalating to more steady showers and possible thunderstorms after 11 p.m.

The temperature will dip slightly to a low of around 69 degrees. With a 90% chance of precipitation, significant rainfall is expected overnight.

Residents should stay prepared for changing conditions and ensure safety measures are in place for the incoming weather.

Have a great day, New Jersey, and stay dry!
