Authorities in Newark seek the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred on Monday, May 20.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 11 a.m., the suspect entered a jewelry store located on Ferry Street near Congress Street, removed a bracelet, and left the store without paying for the item.
The suspect was last seen walking westbound on Ferry Street, officials stated.
Officials said detectives seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect.
He was wearing a tan shirt, black hat, and a black surgical mask, according to officials.
