DRY SECOND HALF OF WEEKEND: Sunday's Mostly Sunny Skies to Delight Newark, North Jersey Region

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

My family and friends in Newark and North Jersey are waking up to a beautiful start to the second half of the week, a big contrast to yesterday's gloomy weather and periodic precipitation.VaccineSaturday's rain had many enjoying indoor activities like watching TV, spending time with family, and trading books.

However, today promises to be an excellent day for outdoor activities as temperatures climb into the mid-70s.

Friends, if you're heading out to an early morning Sunday church service, you'll be able to show off that awesome outfit because the weather will be perfect for it!

According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 73 degrees and a northeast wind blowing at 7 to 10 mph. Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of around 58 degrees.

NWS meteorologists say this marks the beginning of a stretch of well-deserved dry weather, with temperatures expected to reach the 80s in some parts of the region later this week.

It's a perfect time for New Jersey residents to get outside and enjoy the pleasant weather.

Have a fantastic day, NJ!
