Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Tuesday, April 30.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said that a victim reported that three packages, valued at $429.00, were delivered to a residence at Vermont Avenue near South Orange Avenue at approximately 5 p.m.
According to officials, the suspect walked past the residence, pulling a rolling briefcase.
He quickly returned, walked up the victim’s front steps, and placed the three delivered packages into a black garbage bag, officials stated.
Officials said detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a Black male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue denim pants, and dark-colored shoes.
