Newark Police Seeks Help Identifying Theft Suspect Who Stole Tools from Van

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspect in connection with a theft from an auto that occurred on Saturday, April 20.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 10 p.m., a victim parked a work van at a residence located on Brookdale Avenue near South Orange Avenue.

Officials said the following morning, the victim discovered that a rear window of the work van had been shattered and several tools had been stolen, including two drills, an automatic copper cutter, an HVAC vacuum, and other tools.

Detectives investigating this incident observed the suspect on surveillance camera breaking into the work van and removing the stolen tools, officials stated.
