Authorities in Passaic County are investigating an unusual crash that occurred early Wednesday morning on a highway in Clifton. A vehicle was lifted onto a guardrail.Emergency responders were called to the scene on the eastbound ramp of Route 3 at NJ-21 just before 2 a.m.
Upon arrival, police and EMS found that the vehicle had lost control and collided with the guardrail, resulting in the front wheel being hoisted atop the barrier.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and EMS attended to the driver.
Clifton Police are examining whether slick road conditions, exacerbated by early morning rain that passed through North Jersey, contributed to the accident.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are looking into all possible factors leading up to the incident.
No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
