Bergen County School Celebrates College Commitments of Star Athletes, Dancers

On May 9, the Academy of the Holy Angels celebrated the college commitments of some of its most talented student-athletes and dancers.AdRLS Media learned that varsity basketball ace Samantha Serrano, Bergen County Rowing Academy standout Trinity Savage, and world-class dance champions Karis Cho, Alexandra Nicholas, and Gianna Pasquale announced where they will continue their athletic and dance careers during their college years.

The high-energy signing ceremony, organized by Athletic Director Jessica Hogan and Head Dance Coach Jenny Sweet, was well-attended by coaches, faculty, staff, and friends.

Amid cheers and applause, the students shared their exciting news.

Community Varsity Dance Co-Captain Karis Cho signed with Penn State, Alexandra Nicholas committed to Georgia Tech, and Gianna Pasquale and Trinity Savage chose Sacred Heart. On the basketball front, Samantha Serrano signed with Florida Southwestern.

Trinity Savage, a standout in rowing, celebrated her accomplishment of securing a Division 1 offer after only a few months in the sport.

Just days before the ceremony, she earned second place at the Philadelphia Rowing Association's City Championship, marking a significant milestone in her rowing career.

Samantha Serrano has made her mark on AHA’s basketball history.AdShe scored her 1,000th career point on January 2, was named First Team All-County, and was invited to play in both the Bergen/Passaic All-Star Game and the North/South Senior Game at Rutgers Prep.

This memorable event underscored the dedication and talent of AHA’s athletes and dancers, who now look forward to excelling at the collegiate level.

Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and the support of their coaches and community.
