East Orange Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that was reported late Wednesday night at a local Phillips 66 gas station.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred just before 11:45 p.m. at the station located in the 100 block of Central Avenue at the intersection with Grove Street.
Reports say three suspects arrived at the gas station in a vehicle and proceeded to rob the station's employees.
It is believed that the assailants were armed during the robbery. After committing the crime, the suspects quickly fled the scene, heading eastbound on Central Avenue towards Newark.
Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported during the robbery.
East Orange Police are actively seeking any leads or information that could help identify and apprehend the suspects involved in this crime.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to ensure local businesses' and residents' safety and security.
