Paterson Police are searching for a suspect involved in a violent stabbing incident that occurred late Monday night.
The altercation took place around 11 p.m. at a BP Gas Station located in the 200 block of Broadway.
Preliminary reports indicate that, responding to emergency calls reporting an injured individual, officers arrived at the scene to discover a person with a severe stab wound to their leg.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was quickly transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Medical reports indicated that the victim suffered significant blood loss due to the injury.
Reports say no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing.
The Paterson Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, gathering evidence, and seeking information from potential witnesses.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
