A violent collision in Elmwood Park on Friday evening led to an unusual scene where a car's engine was completely ejected onto the road.The crash occurred around 7 p.m. near 138 Mola Boulevard, involving about seven vehicles and resulting in serious but non-fatal injuries to at least two individuals, who were promptly transported to local hospitals.
Upon their arrival, police, fire, and emergency medical services discovered extensive damage to the involved vehicles.
One car was so severely impacted that its engine was found lying in the middle of the road.Emergency responders also used the Jaws of Life to extricate a driver trapped inside one of the wrecked cars.
The Elmwood Park Police are actively investigating the cause of the crash, which disrupted the area late into the evening.
