The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, with the Jersey City Police Department, is investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred on College Street.
The incident happened shortly before 12:45 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Audubon and College.
According to the initial investigation, responding to reports of shots fired in the area, police officers discovered a victim with a bullet wound to the arm.
Additionally, they found evidence of bullets striking a nearby house.
As the investigation continued, officers located a second individual on College Street who had sustained severe gunshot injuries.
Officials confirmed that, tragically, the second victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office has stated that the investigation is active and ongoing.
