Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect who stole a victim’s purse from her vehicle on April 25.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said the burglary into auto incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. after the victim parked her vehicle at New York Avenue and New Jersey Railroad Avenue.
Officials said the suspect, captured on surveillance video, entered the vehicle and removed the purse containing several items, including credit cards that he used at Wendy’s in the 100 block of West Market Street.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477), officials say.
