Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 1:20 a.m. on April 25, members of the Paterson Police Department were alerted to a shooting while they were in the area of North 10th Street and Clinton Street.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said shortly thereafter, Paterson Police were notified that a 27-year-old male from Paterson arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in a private vehicle for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Officials said members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, officials say.
Authorities say more information will be released once it becomes available.
