New Jersey State Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred early Monday morning on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County.Preliminary information indicates that the collision happened around 2:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 64.1 in Robbinsville Township.
Upon their arrival, troopers found that the crash had impacted the left lanes of the highway.
Preliminary reports from the scene indicated that one person was pronounced dead at the location, and at least one other individual sustained injuries.
The specific cause of the crash is still under active investigation as authorities work to determine the sequence of events that led to this tragic incident.
The section of the highway where the crash occurred was affected, causing some traffic delays as emergency crews worked on the scene.
