Newark and the North Jersey region are experiencing a rather cold Sunday morning. Temperatures were recorded at 41 degrees as of 4:30 a.m., and some cloud cover is expected to persist throughout much of the day.The National Weather Service forecasts a high of 57 degrees with partly sunny skies and a west wind blowing at 5 to 10 mph.
As the evening approaches, the region will see mostly cloudy conditions initially, which will gradually clear up.
Temperatures tonight are expected to drop to a low of around 41 degrees, with a northwest wind of around seven mph.
Those planning to attend the first Sunday worship services or any early outdoor activities should consider wearing a jacket to stay comfortable in the brisk weather.
