As my friends and family prepare for tax day, the Newark and the North Jersey region is experiencing a notably warmer start to their week, with temperatures expected to soar into the 70s.
According to the National Weather Service, the day will feature mostly sunny skies with highs nearing 77 degrees, making it a perfect day to enjoy some outdoor activities.
The morning will see a light west wind, which is expected to pick up speed, increasing to 9 to 14 mph.
Wind gusts could reach as high as 28 mph, adding a brisk feel to an otherwise warm day.
By nightfall, NWS forecasters said the skies will remain mostly clear, with temperatures cooling down to a comfortable low of around 51 degrees.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the pleasant weather by possibly grabbing an outdoor lunch or simply soaking up the sun.
While enjoying the beautiful day, don't forget the important task at hand - today is also the deadline to file taxes. Make sure to submit those tax forms to the IRS to round off this eventful Monday.
