Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with locating Helaina Woodard, 38, of Newark, who is wanted for questioning in connection with the investigation of a shooting that occurred on Friday, April 5.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé stated that at approximately 3:28 a.m., police responded to the Astor Street near Pennsylvania Avenue on a call of a shooting.
Officials said responding officers were advised that a man had arrived at University Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
The victim is reportedly in stable condition, officials stated.
Authorities say detectives investigating this incident are seeking Helaina Woodard for questioning.
