In New Brunswick, a deadly incident has led to the arrest of 18-year-old Mr. Noah Reyes of North Brunswick.Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported Tuesday that Reyes has been charged in connection with a fatal crash that occurred on March 6, claiming the life of 65-year-old Mr. Dennis Frick from Freehold.
According to Prosecutor Ciccone, the crash occurred early in the morning on Route 1 Northbound near the Goodkind Bridge.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find a collision between an Infiniti sedan, driven by Reyes, and a Ford pickup truck.
Prosecutor Ciccone said the impact was severe enough to result in the death of the pickup truck’s driver, Dennis Frick, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Reyes did not sustain any injuries from the crash.
The investigation, spearheaded by Officer Gliottone of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Alleva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, revealed that Reyes was speeding southbound on Route 1.
He crossed over the median into the northbound lanes, directly hitting Frick’s Ford pickup, the statement revealed.
Following the investigation, Reyes was arrested on April 1 and faces charges of second-degree vehicular homicide.
He has been released on pre-trial monitoring, with specific conditions, including the surrender of his passport and driver’s license.
The case remains active as investigations continue.
Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and contact Officer Gliottone of the New Brunswick Police Department or Detective Alleva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
