Jersey City Police are on the search for a gunman following an incident where shots were fired into a home on Monday night, causing alarm but, fortunately, no injuries.
Responding to reports around 9:10 p.m., officers were called to the 70s block of Grant Avenue.
Upon their arrival, police secured the area, finding shell casings as evidence of the shooting.
A further investigation revealed that bullets had penetrated the exterior of 75 Grant Avenue, though all occupants inside remained unharmed.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect make a getaway in a blue vehicle, sparking a search for the individual who remains at large.
Authorities are looking into the motive behind the shooting, which remains unclear at this stage.
The Jersey City Police Department is asking the public for any information that may lead to the apprehension of the suspect.
