Police officials in Newark has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a violent altercation that took place on March 9, 2024.
The incident, which escalated into a physical assault, occurred in the early hours, around 3 a.m., on the 100 block of Van Buren Street.
According to police reports, the altercation was captured on surveillance video, showing the suspect engaging in a fight with the victim.
Police said the confrontation turned particularly violent when the suspect threw the victim to the ground and proceeded to hit him in the head with a bottle.
The severity of the victim's injuries has prompted an investigation by local law enforcement.
