Police in Elizabeth are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred near the Garden Restaurant and Lounge nightclub on Sunday night.According to reports, officers were called to the scene around midnight following reports of gunfire in the vicinity of the nightclub located in the 300 block of Morris Avenue.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered shell casings outside the club, prompting them to secure the area with police tape.
During the search of the area, no gunshot victims were reported in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
In a possible related development, police discovered an individual approximately a block away, at the intersection of Westfield Avenue and Morris, suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.
Detectives are now working to establish a connection between this stabbing and the shooting near the Garden Lounge, considering the proximity and timing of both incidents.The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the violent night.
