A two-year-old boy was rushed to University Hospital by police officers after falling out of a two-story window.
The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday when the toddler's mother frantically sought help at a local police station following the fall from their home located on the 100 block of 16th Ave.
The residence from which the boy fell was noted to lack child protective guards on the windows from the outside, highlighting a safety concern.
Officers near the West Side Park station acted swiftly to transport the injured toddler to the hospital for medical attention.
Thankfully, initial reports from University Hospital have indicated that the boy's injuries were not said to be life-threatening at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
