Today marks a splendid day for the North Jersey and New York City area. The National Weather Service reports sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, making it ideal for NYC's 263rd St. Patrick's Day parade, the oldest parade in the world. Although the morning may feel a bit chilly, especially for those in North Jersey, where temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday, the day is set to warm up beautifully.
My friends and family in Newark and the surrounding North Jersey region are waking up to a comfortable 45 degrees this Saturday morning.
As the day progresses, everyone can expect sunny skies with a high near 61 degrees, accompanied by a light and variable wind that will shift to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
The weather couldn't be more cooperative for those planning to cross the river to enjoy the parade, which kicks off at 11 a.m.However, as the day turns into night, expect increasing clouds with temperatures dipping to a low of around 46 degrees.
Today's weather promises to enhance the festive mood for parade-goers and everyone looking to celebrate St. Patrick's Day under the sun.
