Police officials in Newark are actively investigating a carjacking incident that unfolded in the city's North Ward on Tuesday night around 9:25 p.m.
According to reports, two suspects armed with a weapon approached the victim in the vicinity of Bloomfield Avenue and Clifton Avenue.
The suspects forcibly took the victim's gray Nissan Kick before swiftly fleeing the scene.
Upon receiving information that the vehicle was spotted in the area of Bergen Street and South Orange Avenue, police mobilized units to conduct a thorough search for both the vehicle and the suspects.
Although the unoccupied vehicle was eventually located in the 4th precinct, the suspects managed to evade capture and remain at large.
Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported in connection with the carjacking.
Authorities continue their efforts to apprehend the suspects involved in this incident.
