The Newark Police Department has been notified and alerted regarding a vehicle theft that occurred overnight in the city's northern ward.
Authorities are currently on the lookout for a red 2016 Honda Civic sedan bearing the license plate M61-NJS, which was reported missing early this morning.
The theft took place in the vicinity of 9th and 4th Avenue in North Newark.
According to police reports, the vehicle was stolen sometime between 8:30 p.m. last night and 6:00 a.m. Monday.
The stolen Honda Civic is distinctive for having cow-print car seats inside, a feature that could help in its identification.
The Newark Police Department is urging anyone who may have seen the vehicle in their neighborhood or has any information regarding its whereabouts to come forward.
