Firefighters in Bergen County faced a daunting task early Wednesday morning as they battled a fierce house fire that fully engulfed a house in the 800 block of Broad Avenue. The Ridgefield Fire Department and emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the fire around 2:10 a.m.
When crews arrived, they were confronted with intense flames that consumed the entire house.
Fire officials quickly escalated the response, calling for additional manpower with second and third alarms as they worked to contain the blaze.
Despite their efforts, the fire proved relentless, forcing firefighters to resort to an external battle strategy.
Tragically, the intensity of the flames caused the entire building to collapse within minutes.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among the occupants or firefighters. However, the cause of the devastating blaze remains under investigation.
