A tragic collision in Paterson early Wednesday morning left one person dead, Paterson authorities are reporting. 
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Park Avenue and East 33rd Street, where emergency responders rushed to the scene following reports of a violent crash.
Upon arrival, responders discovered two vehicles involved in the collision, with one of them losing control and slamming into a parked car.
Tragically, paramedics pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
The cause of the wreck is currently under investigation by authorities, including the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, as they work to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
At this time, no other serious injuries have been reported.
