Police in Paterson are currently investigating a violent stabbing incident that occurred on Monday evening.
According to initial reports, authorities were called to 495 Park Avenue following reports of an aggravated assault in progress around 6:20 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an individual who had sustained multiple stab wounds, including one to the neck.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were immediately summoned to provide medical assistance, and the injured person was swiftly transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center for urgent treatment.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by law enforcement.
At present, the motive behind the attack remains unknown as police work to gather more information and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
