Howell Man Turns Himself in After Sexually Assaulting Toms River Woman

A 45-year-old Howell man is in custody after he sexually assaulted a woman, authorities said today. 

Louis Kuka on Tuesday went to the unidentified victim's home to discuss a personal issue.

The victim alleges that once the home, he physically attacked her, covered her mouth with duct tape and than duct taped her taped her wrists behind her back, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. 

The defendant then sexually assaulted her. Following the assault, Kuka removed the duct tape from the woman's wrists before leaving. 

A warrant was issued for Kuka's arrest. The defendant turned himself in on Thursday, according to the prosecutor's office. 

He was charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal restraint and aggravated assault.

Kuka was taken to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $300,000 cash only bail.
