The City of Summit has been awarded an $85,000 grant from the Summit Foundation to support the Mabie Playground Transformation Project, marking a significant step towards the creation of the city's first inter-generational park and a fully ADA-accessible and sensory-friendly play area on the Village Green.Summit Mayor Elizabeth Fagan, MD, expressed her gratitude towards the Summit Foundation for their substantial support of this pivotal project.
She highlighted the comprehensive funding strategy combining city capital funds, county and state grants, and a community fundraising campaign to bring this project to fruition.
With the grant from the Summit Foundation, the city is set to commence the eagerly awaited renovation of Mabie Playground.
