Authorities Investigate Fatal Shooting in Atlantic City

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, alongside the Atlantic City Police Department, is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, February 29, in Atlantic City. Ad The incident, which took place around 5:58 p.m., initiated a rapid response from law enforcement officers following a 9-1-1 distress call reporting a shooting on the South block of Florida Avenue.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered H.C., a 37-year-old male resident of Atlantic City, with life-threatening injuries at 26 South Florida Avenue.  

Despite the immediate response, H.C. was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the cause and manner of his death is ongoing, with determinations pending.

The Major Crimes Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Violent Crimes Unit of the Atlantic City Police Department have taken charge of the investigation, working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
