The Mercer County Homicide Task Force, in collaboration with the Trenton Police Department, is investigating a homicide that occurred in Trenton, Mercer County Tuesday. 
Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri disclosed the details of the case, which began to unfold shortly before 8 p.m. at 428 Ardmore Avenue.
Responding to reports of an active shooting, Trenton police discovered Mr. Shawn Moore, a 45-year-old Trenton resident, unresponsive with a gunshot wound on the porch of the address.
Despite immediate attention, Moore was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Moore's death, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is actively ongoing.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
