In Cherry Hill, a thwarted armed carjacking attempt has led to the arrest of two men, police reported. The incident, which took place on February 3rd around 9:37 p.m. at the Waterford Apartments, involved a pizza delivery driver who was targeted by the suspects.
Responding to a distress call at the parking lot of 100 Park Blvd., Cherry Hill Police learned that the delivery driver was approached by two males, one of whom brandished a handgun.
Cherry Hill Police said in a statement that the assailants demanded the contents of the driver's pockets, including his vehicle keys. However, when they failed to locate his car, they fled the scene, leaving the victim unharmed. The Cherry Hill Police Department's Investigative Unit conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the identification and arrest of Mr. Hakiem White, 35, from Philadelphia, and Mr. Saivon Norman, 25, from Collingswood.
Both men face charges of first-degree carjacking and robbery.
