NWS: Sun Finally Breaks Through in Newark After Extended Cloud Cover

The National Weather Service reports a welcomed change in the weather for the Newark and North Jersey region.AdAfter enduring 11 consecutive days of overcast skies, residents can finally look forward to the sun gracing the sky for much of the day.

Although the day will start with some lingering cloud cover, the prolonged period of gloom is giving way to a stretch of sunny weather that is expected to last throughout the week.

However, despite the sunny outlook, temperatures will remain on the cooler side. 

The National Weather Service said the forecast for today is mostly sunny with a high near 42 degrees. Wind chill values will be hovering between 20 and 30 degrees, with a north wind blowing at 10 to 15 mph.AdAs night falls, the skies will remain mostly clear with a low around 29 degrees, accompanied by a gentle north wind of 6 to 8 mph.

Residents are reminded to take out their sunglasses and prepare to enjoy a beautiful day ahead, marking a refreshing break from the recent dreary weather.
