The Newark and North Jersey region continues to experience damp conditions this morning, with a few light snowflakes spotted in the northern parts and light sprinkles in Morris County.However, residents can expect the rain to not persist throughout the entire day.
As the area wakes up, the temperature in Newark stands at 39 degrees, but brisk breezes make it feel 5-10 degrees colder.
For Monday, a National Weather Service meteorologist said there's a chance of rain before 8 a.m., followed by a slight possibility of snow between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 42 degrees. The north wind will be blowing at 10 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph.
Tonight, the sky will remain mostly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to a low of around 29 degrees. The north wind will continue at a speed of 6 to 9 mph.
Given the foggy conditions, drivers are urged to be cautious and drive carefully to ensure safety on the roads.
