A tragic incident took place in Fair Lawn, Bergen County, on Saturday night when two pedestrians were severely injured after being struck by a car.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office has been notified following this incident.
Emergency services received 911 calls around 7:35 p.m., alerting them to the accident at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Cedar Street.
Upon arrival, police and EMS found two victims lying on the ground, suffering from serious injuries caused by the collision.
One of the victims, who required critical care, was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson. Reports indicate that this victim is in critical condition.
The current status of the second victim remains undisclosed.
The circumstances leading to this unfortunate event are under thorough investigation. As of now, there have been no arrests related to the incident.
