Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 7:56 p.m. on January 22, 2024, the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Hamilton Avenue and Godwin Avenue in Paterson on a report of a shooting.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said upon arrival, the Paterson Police Department was informed the victim, a 16-year-old juvenile, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson via private vehicle, seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, officials stated.
Officials say more information will be released once it becomes available.
